Sentient Bodies—Permutations of Image, Object, and Time
University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, 2025

Presented as a live talk and projection, this work traces how painting behaves like a body—absorbing, transmitting, and transforming what it carries. One surface moves through states of dissolution and return as the lecture unfolds, mirroring the ideas spoken: that image, like the body, is not fixed but sentient—shaped by breath, memory, and change.

0.001. Full screen high-definition streaming optimal. Infinite 2:13 video projection loop, dimensions variable. Inspired by Joseph Campbell’s The Hero with a Thousand Faces0.001 is 1000 inverted frame distortions of a raw canvas set in an infinite mirrored loop. The soundtrack is created from the original visual itself, layered with dissonant semitone sounds, harmonious solfeggio tones, and empty radio frequencies.
