Birth Marks
This series merges analog and digital processes to explore how memory and form degrade over time. Using mother molds of painting casts, each piece holds a residue of past work—fragments, drips, and gestures suspended in structure. Mirrored overlays and digital disintegration effects layer over the forms, creating tension between what remains intact and what slips away. These looping videos reflect on the fragility of preservation, the distortion of perception, and the quiet erosion of once-stable marks and forms.
2024. Full screen high-definition streaming optimal. Infinite 30-second video projection loops, dimensions variable. Composite of plaster mother molds of painting casts and fragments of acrylic on mylar and canvas.
